Apply to be a CCC agronomy specialist summer assistant

The Canola Council of Canada (CCC) will hire three summer assistants — one each for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta — for the period April 26-September 1, 2017

CCC agronomy specialists work to improve the profitability and sustainability of canola for producers. Summer assistants’ primary responsibilities will include:

-Field-trial/ small-plot work
-Insect and Disease monitoring, general field scouting
-Project management/participation
-Territory travel with some overnight trips
-Extension efforts via multiple mediums (ex. Social media, meetings, etc.)
-Collaboration with Canola Council’s Crop Production and Innovation Team as well as industry professionals

Qualifications include:

-Enrollment in a post-secondary agriculture program or related field
-Prior experience in the agricultural field
-Must be self-motivated and highly organized with attention to detail
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Professionalism and maturity essential
-Ability to manage a budget is an asset
-Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
