Trade Minister Freeland takes dad’s canola to China

Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland promoted her roots last week by bringing a sample of her dad’s canola to Beijing. Ms. Freeland’s dad, Don Freeland, grows canola near Peace River, Alberta. Minister Freeland has been influential in seeking long-term stable access for canola into China – including the recent announcement that trade will continue while a long-term solution to Chinese concerns about blackleg is found. Her commitment to the issue has been persistent and effective. Thanks Minister Freeland! And of course, thanks to Don Freeland for growing high quality Canadian canola!
