Excess moisture meetings Feb. 1 & 2 (5 CCA credits)

Growers, agronomists, farm input retailers and others in areas where acres went unseeded in 2011 due to high moisture will benefit from the excess moisture meetings next week.

The meetings will have four experts talking about what unseeded acres and excess moisture in spring 2011 will mean for soil fertility, crop rotation, and disease, insect and weed management for spring 2012.

Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) can get 5 continuing education credits for attending — 1 for soil and water, 3 for integrated pest management, and 1 for crop management.

The dates are:

Carlyle, Saskatchewan, Feb. 1., 9:30 to 3:30 at the Memorial Hall. SaskCanola will cover the costs of lunch, but would like numbers. Please register in advance by contacting Shawn Senko at 306-270-9307 or senkos@canolacouncil.org. Free admission.
